Sep 21, 2006 at 15:16:26 Malcolm Bowstead   (malcolm.bowstead@ntlworld.com) Since our Labrador Jilly died last year at the age of (nearly) 16, we have been looking for an organisation to help us take one on again and this organisation seems to be the one that can (hopefully) help. We have submitted a request to be considered for three particular dogs, however being committed Labrador admirers we would consider any Labrador in need of 'rescue'.

Hettie is 8 years old lab/x. We are looking for a friend for us all. Christie was named after Linford Christie because she was black and fast. Hettie after Hettie Wainthrop (private eye) she is just so nosy. I love Labs and Boxers.

Jul 15, 2006 at 10:31:39 Sylvia (alpha) (alpha1better@msn.com) Very brief details about dogs-eg behaviour in kennels- distressed, destructive or OK/ Timid or confident/ Also where are you, and could you bring a dog to us, as we are non-drivers now, alas! We live in EN postcode-Herts. Do you need short term fosterers? More photos wd. help. Lots of dogs seem to be reserved for quite a long time, does that mean you have difficulties in doing home-checks? best wishes in your work, these lovely dogs need lots of help, 'Bye for now, Sylvia

Jul 3, 2006 at 02:32:51 Wendy Newton  (wendy@newtondecorators.co.uk)  We recently adopted Judy from you guys, as we have just lost Ben to old age so we decided to give one of these unfortunate dogs a loving, and forever home although we had to consider the fact that we have our 2yr old Yellow Lab that had just lost his soulmate and was very upset!!!When we took judy home with us she wasnt very happy to find Tango at home waiting for her to play ...but with hours of patience, determination within 3days she had settled well ...5 days on and she was toilet trained as she wasnt already.::Its now 1 week and 4 days now ...the pair of them get on great and Judy has learnt lots of things from Tango and now we have a pair of shoes brought to us instead of just one!!!!::Can i just say that if anyone is thinking of adopting a dog from the lab welfare then please do but please, just give the dogs time to settle in and give them the benefit of the doubt and be patient, cos honestly it is soooo rewarding for you and the dog!! ::Just also want to say a BIG THANKYOU to Andy and Becky at Rainbow hill Kennels once again!

Jan 30, 2006 at 18:58:57 jayne ann fox  (jayneann05@aol.com)  Bonzo sounds like he would be a good fit for me and my family. Although I live on my own in a house with a southfacing enclosed garden, I want a dog that can travel in a car and whom my grandchildren can enjoy being with on occasion. I would be grateful for a response.
